I'm a life guard and sit out in the sun all and use this product every day. It lets me still get a nice tan but also protects me from the harmful uv rays and is over all a wonderful product .
I am a 6 year survivor of metastatic melanoma and am a fanatic on sunscreen. I have been using NO-AD sport 50 for several years and have been extremely happy with it. Last summer I worked a job that had me outside most of the day and sunscreen was only one of my defenses. By the end of the summer my face and neck barely showed signs of sun exposure. I was a "bad boy" in that I did not reapply every 2 hours as recommended. I would put it on first thing in the morning and than again after lunch. This seemed to be appropriate for my very fair skin (Irish/Scottish heritage). When outside, I always wore SPF rated clothing with a wide brim hat and long sleeve shirt. So, I am sure that helped. Before I was diagnosed with melanoma I always had to be very careful anyway (as I think a 200 watt light bulb would make me start to turn red). As a result I have used many different sunscreens over my life time with varying results. The pluses with NO-AD have been: 1. I can get by with a 4 hour reapply schedule when necessary 2. It does not turn my clothes orange or other strange colors 3. It does not cause any skin irritation 4. In the quantity I go through in a year it is affordable. Negitives: 1. It is tear free, but your eyes will still feel it. I really have to be sweating a lot for it to get in my eyes. This is not a frequent problem and much less of a problem than I have had with other products I have used. If it gets in your eyes due to sweat or wiping your face you will know it. 2. As with any sunscreen, don't get in a hot tub with it on, especially if it is your hot tub and you have to keep it clean. 2. Wash well before going to bed. Again, as with other sunscreens it traps dirt in your skin and you can ruin a pillow case real quick.
I'd used No-Ad years ago both and never had problemsz I bought this product for my family and both times it was used we all have verying degrees of burn. We were on the beach from 10 until 4, reapplied 3x and sat in the shade when not in the water.
I had the SPF 60 for 6 years and it still works I don't get sun burned.
Very effective and moisturizing. It's all I'll buy.
